The Plan requires the City Manager to initiate city-wide community awareness and encourage residents to adhere to Stage 3 restrictions.

The revised Drought Contingency Plan features four conditions based on the storage capacities of 60, 50, 39, and 26 percent at Lake Corpus Christi. All water users are asked to implement Stage 3 water conservation measures effective immediately.
Residents and businesses are asked to:

1. Restrict irrigation and only water according to the following schedule:

a. Irrigation of landscaped areas with hose-end sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems shall be limited to Sundays and Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8, and Saturdays and Wednesdays for water customers with a street address ending in an odd number 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9, and irrigation of landscaped areas is further limited to the hours between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on designated watering days.

2. Repair plumbing leaks as soon as possible.

3. Refrain from washing driveways, sidewalks, buildings, vehicles unless utilizing a bucket of water, or allowing water to run down sidewalks, roadways etc...

4. Conserve water in all aspects of daily life.

Residents will receive a utility bill insert identifying the four drought conditions featuring the water use restrictions for each stage. Information on water conservation measures is posted on the City’s web site at www.cityofalice.org . The City will continue to closely monitor the lake levels and provide weekly updates.
