Construction Permits

Overview

A Construction Permit is one that allows an applicant to construct, install, or modify equipment or systems. Some examples of these permits include:
  • Automatic fire-extinguishing systems
  • Battery systems
  • Compressed gases
  • Fire alarm and detection systems and related equipment
  • Fire pumps and related equipment
  • Industrial ovens
  • Spraying or dipping
  • Standpipe systems
Most of these permits are included when a building permit is obtained and some operations will require both types of permits. Construction permits might also require plan submittals prior to issuing a permit so please contact our office at (361) 668-7258 for further details.
