City Clerk


The City of Alice has a home rule Council-Manager form of government, with the City Clerk being one of the 10 full-time Council-approved positions.

The City Clerk is responsible for an array of services, including, but not limited to:
  • Serving customers in the areas of:
    • Research
    • Certified documents
    • Historical data
    • Receipt of filing of Financial Disclosure Reports
  • Processing and maintaining records of appointments to various Boards, Commissions and Committees
  • Directing the administrative functions of the City Council
  • Administrating and coordinating municipal elections
  • Ensuring affirmative duties and legislative services
  • Serving as custodian of the city corporate seal
  • Coordinating the codification of the city ordinances into the City Code of Ordinances
  • Receiving bids
  • Posting legal notices and agendas


It is the goal of the Office of the City Clerk to provide prompt, efficient service to all citizens.
