Parks Maintenance, Facilities, and Permits Information
City parks, sports fields, water park, natatorium, golf course, and the Neighborhood facility are maintained by the City of Alice Parks & Recreation Department.
A permit is required for the Anderson Park Pavilion, Veteran's Park Gazebo, Heldt Park Stage. Permits are also required for any use of ball fields and can be obtained by visiting Community Development on first floor, Alice City Hall.
General ball field maintenance occurs year-round with more attention given just before, during and immediately following designated sports seasons. All fields require a permit for practice; permits are issued by Community Development Department. All leagues and renters of ball fields must coordinate with Parks & Recreation for use of fields, concessions, and bathrooms.
This division is responsible for the maintenance of all parks, playgrounds, ball fields, multi-use complex, municipal golf course, city hall, as well as numerous other City properties from Alice to Lake Corpus Christi.
Additionally, they are responsible for the mowing of highway and railroad rights of ways and creeks within the City limits.
